Greetings!

Allow me to introduce myself, I am White ElkDreamer.

I am new to the site, and very glad that I was led here.

If I may be so bold to add to your 'search,' with some 'less than obvious?' comments.

I sensed that not only was this a 'special event' in your life, but, that it was one in which, some 'major changes,' or 'evolutions' are forthcoming in your 'Spiritual Journey!'

While the comments regarding a specific type of 'Stone Person Nation,' are right on in description and detail, I wonder if your 'Inner Voice' wasn't trying to move you to a 'newer understanding' of the 'Holders of Energy' in the 'Worlds of Mother Earth,' and that is the 'Stone People Nation!'

In the 'Ancient Wisdom Schools' there are 'Four Worlds' of GrandMother Earth, and yes, you got it, they correspond to the 'Four Directions!'

The 'Stone People Nation (Mineral Kingdom)' are positioned in the West, which is the place of the 'Physical,' or in Earth Medicine, the Body and of course Mother Earth.

We can also describe the various evolutions of the 'Mineral World,' along the 'Medicine Wheel' whereby the following correspondences are understood:

South: Soils and Sands,
West: Stone and Rocks,
North: Precious Gems,
East: Crystals, and finally in the
Center: Precious Ores and Metals.

I hope this is not too much, but I am trying to share the 'Medicine of the Mineral World,' specifically the Stones and Rocks (which are part of the overall concept in Native America of the Stone People Nations).

While, the overall 'Gift' of the Mineral World is the 'Holders of Energy,' in each direction, the manifestation of this 'Holding' is different, e.g., the Crystals being in the East are the 'Holder/Determiners' of energy. While the North, the Precious Gems, are the 'Holder/Receivers,' meaning that 'Turquoise' 'receives' the intent that it is known for (Healing and cleansing), and so, becomes a 'Medicine Stone.'

Now, there is a 'fine line' maybe in understanding this, and I hope that I haven't sounded like a 'bag of hot air,' but, the point I am trying to make, is that the 'unique aspect of the Stone People Nation' in the West, is that they are the 'Holder/Holders' of energy, and 'being part of Mother Earth' for hundreds, thousands, maybe millions?, of years, are the 'Record Holders of Events and Consciousness' that have been part of their specific area in or upon Mother Earth.

And, now, 'A War and Peace' later, the point is, that unlike the other members of the Mineral Kingdom, the 'Sorcerer's Stone,' usually doesn't refer to the 'Ores and Metals,' nor usually the 'Crystals,' and definitely not the 'sands.' However, sometimes maybe, the 'Precious Gems,' are considered 'Sorcerer's Stones,' for the 'programmable function,' Healing, Visions, etc., but, most times, it is a 'Special Stone Person (Rocks and Stones)that has been waiting all your Lifetime for you to 'find him/her!'

In the Lakota language, this 'Stone' is called a 'Wotai!'

When we begin tapping into the 'Spirit World' to learn, better yet, to remember who and what we are, and to seek guidance and understanding, and more importantly 'communion' with 'All that Is,' we are practicing, as you know, 'Shamanism.'

And, so my 'dearest one,' if my 'long-windedness' has not put you to sleep, I think your 'Voice' is 'heralding a very special time' in your life, where the 'Teachings and Truths' that you need, are awaiting you in the 'Stone People Nation!' The 'Shaman's Stones!'

And, as, hmm forget, WiseOwl?, suggested, in your 'Journeys' if you do travel, or this could be locally too, begin to seek out those 'Stones and Rocks' that 'draw you--call to you,' and when you are attracted or drawn to such a 'Stone Person,' ask if it meant to Journey with you. And, listen for the 'reply.' It will come. And, of course, thank the 'Spirit of the Place' for such a meeting or gift, depending on the 'Reply.'

If 'Shamanic Journeying' is about 'Journeying Within and into the Spirit World,' then isn't it very interesting that the 'Stone or Rock' becomes, in a 'consciousness sense,' and I don't know if I am qualified to state anything else, like a 'Soul of Experience and Knowledge' for us to 'go into, and listen, and look, and to feel?'

So, could it be that the 'Singing One of High Spiritual Vision and Seeking' is being directed to 'learn more about the Knowledge and Consciousness' of the Record Holders of Mother Earth: Stone People Nation, and to 'commune with them?'

Perhaps you will hear and feel the 'beat of a different drummer?'
