Honored Senior Member Posts: 250 May 15 11 9:35 AM	Tags : None There appears to be an occasional caching issue at Yuku. Your post may seem to go through, and then disappear again. You may also see a topic and get an "oops" page when you click on the topic. Please do not re-post your question. Once the caching issue is over, all posts will show up. Today I had problems with my post showing up, disappearing, showing up and disappearing. Also when I click on edit, two times a splash page came up asking you to join Yuku! Then it would not let me out of it. Being an admin for two other sites, this is a software issue that can be taken care of with updating. ~Paah

Posts: 2140 May 15 11 4:18 PM Admin	Hi Paah, we are only a tiny board on Yuku, and we cannot update the forums ourselves. The caching issue is on Yuku's servers, not our computers in this case. Yuku has recently changed ownership and is transitioning with servers, colos, and so forth. The caching issues stem from that switch from what I understand. If you want to make a suggestion to Yuku for their programmers/ developers, you can open a ticket with them at http://helpdesk.yuku.com . You can also report problems of a technical nature that arise in your use of the Yuku product at the helpdesk.

I post...I think...I try to go back to the post to reform it around the journey my thoughts have taken me on...and it is gone. I then have to make a decision to either post a new post, or wait and see if my chemo fogged brain will retain the thought long enough to wait for the missing post to reappear... And in the moment while I was doing that, just now,,,,, I had a random thought, that it is like our posts are going through an approval process..... Like there is some program that takes a new post, just long enough for it to go through some program searching for key things, that would flag it for further examination... Okay, so my imagination is working overtime...but this is the only Yuku board I'm on that is experiencing this problem... Conspiracy theories, alive and well in Canada. My imagination is starting to live again. Munay Munay

Posts: 2140 May 20 11 10:12 AM Admin	When in doubt, it is always good to hold down ctrl and F5 together to refresh the page you're on and to remove any old versions of that page from your computer's cache. That way you can separate out what is an internal caching discrepancy from a Yuku one... I do like the idea of a higher approval process.

Posts: 4800 May 20 11 6:24 PM Admin/ Board Founder	LOL, That's an interesting concept Wyn, I don't swear (as a rule) anymore, but can at times let something slip out. Personal choice not to. But the caching issues is one that has been going on for awhile. I'm contending with it too at times. It is what it is.
