Paah, I wish you and your family well. It must be a hard time for you all, but I see that you are demonstrating a great deal of strength.

My sister in law had cancer in 2004. She'd been ill and losing weight for a long time, but they didn't do the needed tests soon enough to be able to do anything about. I only found out late on and resigned from a role I had in an organisation to be there with the family in Lancashire. I had an offer from a very nice lady (who had lost her only child a daughter when the daughter was university age) a US spiritualist medium who was also a qualified grief councillor of free assistance to the family at the time, but I missed the whole thing because when I travelled to Lancashire my mother was very distressed and she asked me a question that I didn't want to lie in response to, and she asked me others which for historical family reasons that relateto my mother I couldn't answer precisely truthfully, and I landed in psychiatric hospital as a consequence. In the last two years, a close friend has had testicular cancer twice and I couldn't be there for him the second time because I was back in psychiatric hospital last year for a second time following a series of viral infections. I had a lump which could potentially have been cancer, but missed the appointment for ultrasound because it was assumed that it was a tactile hallucination. It took over a month before I could get another appointment for a test, but it was only a cyst. 

I've never had a serious illness myself and never had a stay in a medical hospital (not since a short stay after an easy birth anyway). My whole life has really been a very easy coast along. So I can't  fully appreciate what it's like to have trying times. I'm pleased to hear the chemo is going well. I send my love to you and your family and hope things just get better and better soon.
