Image">"Shaman Stones" was whispered to me this morning. I do not know what they
are. I have heard of them, but before I get deep into a google search, I was hoping some of you here could share your knowledge with me.

I did a "shaman stone" search in the Library but didn't locate anything, so if there is one please point me in that direction.

Hi Eagle Singing!
*smile* I
looove my Moqui Marbles (Shaman Stones) I have mine for
the last 10 years and they got stronger and stronger over
the years with my use of them.
Here
is some explanation about them:
Quote:
These
stones, also known as Moqui Balls or Moqui Marbles, are
found in two places in the Western states. Geologically,
they are rather odd – a hematite/sandstone shell
with sandstone concretion in the center. They are some of
the most energetic stones on the planet. Their major
properties are cleansing, relaxing, and giving a great
boost to meditation and journeying.
Here is another
one:
Quote:
These
are rare and popular high-energy stones. Psychic
impressions suggest these are powerful allies to invoke
in both personal path-working and healing situations. In
personal spiritual work, these stones connect one with
the energies of the Earth. The have a balanced energy,
which is both grounding and energizing. Shaman Stones are
useful in initiating contact and interactions with
one’s animal guides, and can be used by the
advanced magician in shape-shifting work. These are
powerfully protective stones and will absorb negativity
or densities in the energy field, transforming these into
useful and available energy which makes them a very
useful healing tool and purifying agent in the healing
environment. Use of this stone on the third eye can
activate clairvoyance, perception of distant events, or
even alternative lifetimes. These stones seem to have a
subtle magnetizing effect on the energy field, and will
gently clear and charge any area they are place over.
I use mine for meditation,
healing ... and anywhere where I see their potential
useful. I carried them around with me in my pockets for a
while at first and had them over night under my pillow,
so that we could get to know eachother. *smile*
I love them to bits ... if you buy some see
that you get a pair, a male and female one. One is
slightly rougher then the other. The male goes in the
left hand and the female in the right. Mine did that
automatically. Ohhh ... and be prepared to feel their
power as soon as you take them in your hands the first
time! *smile*

Wisowl, thank you so much! Do Shaman Stones have to
be made of the same stone as Moqui Marbles? Or are Shaman
Stones and Moqui Marbles one in the same? Do different
indigenous cultures use different stones?
I've seen pictures of Moqui Marbles and then
other ads selling Shaman Stones that are different
colored stones.
So, I take it this
is something that can be purchased? I mean, I've seen
them sold on-line, but I'm reserved about buying such
things on-line....(my stuff)Image I don't
know what I'm really trying to say, except that I guess
it is one thing to purchase Tarot cards, but Shaman
Stones seems different - but then again, completely my
stuff.
And, you mentioned Male and
Female. That is great information.

Is there a significant number of stones to have: 1, 2, 3,
4 or ?
Hmmm. This is interesting
information. We are taking a 2 week road trip to the SW
desert: Utah, NM, Arizona and Four Corners area, in late
June. I want to show my kids the archaeological sites and
for me...well I want to just absorb everything I can.

Eagle Singing,
I would say
before you go on your trip with your family read up on
the Shaman Stones online ... and find out where they are
found ... you might even come across them on your
intended travels. *smile* Then, of course, there would be
really a connection for you. *smile*

I bought mine online a bit over 10 years ago. Buying
Shaman Stones wouldn't be different than buying Tarot
cards. They also don't collect or hold bad energies ....
so you could right after receiving them take them in your
hands and get to know them, without getting through a
cleansing ritual first!
To have a
pair of them is enough ... as I have said one on/in your
left hand and the other in/on your right.
There are also some Shaman Stones online under
a registered name (name escapes me) ... they are much too
expensive and make only the people rich who have
trademarked them!
I feel that you
heard the name *Shaman Stones* whispered to you, because
you will encounter them on your travel and that they are
waiting for you to come.

I feel the same.
Thank you
so much for all that you've shared. Image I am
excited to see what I uncover in my investigations and
readings.
Love to you

from the University of Utah, there's an article about
~

wrong with the links - maybe cut and paste) www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2004/06/040617082028.htm
The marbles on Mars -
the moqui marbles in Utah help them understand the

Wisowl, how do I determine if a stone has male or
female energies? (I'm enjoying my reading btw.) One web
site suggested using a pendulum. I would be self
conscious using my pendulum in front of another,
especially my family who will be wondering what I'm doing
buying those rocks anyway...but perhaps that may be the
only way.
Minna I enjoyed the link
thank you. It jump started my research, thank you! The
way these stones are formed is fascinating.
Edited to say that I just found a
"Shaman Stone" article in the stones
and minerals library.

I Don't know about the Moqui Stones, the one I have
was made in a River pothole over a very long time
(Millions ) of years. These are found in the bottom of
the pothole and are called "Shaman's
Stones". I have not been able to unlock its
magic and maybe because i have tried hard on several
occasions. I carry it where ever i go and it feels nice
to have it with me.

Bear, I am interested in what you can share about
your stones. Do you know where the stones came from? It
is called a "shaman stone" as well? Do
you know what its properties are?

I've been researching this a bit, and I finding that
similar stones are found around the world and were used
by Medicine Healers and Shaman. Moqui stones are
specifically from the Utah area and were given that name
as many were found in ancient Moqui ruins (if I
understand this correctly).
I
apologize if I'm being nosey, I don't intend to be. I'm
just on a research kick.
