Some Beetles are good signs, and some are bad signs and bad powers. You need to learn which ones mean what in your area by studying their behavior and what occurs after you see one. Some Beetles are messengers of good or bad weather or environmental changes. A couple years ago, my publisher from Quest Books decided to fly me to New York to attend a national publisher's and author's convention. One of the senior staff leaders from Quest, John White, who has since beomce a close friend of mine, offered to be my guide, which I gladly accepted. I was staying in an old bu well-known hotel across from Madison Square Garden. The national conference, which would include thousands of people from around the world, was to be held in the gigantic convention center. Quite frankly, I was anxious, nervous, and somewhat afraid of New York City. There were just too many people there. It was too crowded and too crazy for me. I was not impressed at all, but decided to participate for public relations reasons and to promote my new book, Native Healer. Anyway, John and I were down in the hotel lobby and I had just smudged myself with "Grizzly Bear Root" (Angelica herb) for protection as part of a ritual I use for dealing with stress and anxious situations.
I went down to the lobby to look for John. He caught me talking to a large Beetle-type bug that I had suddenly seen run in from nowhere and snatch a smaller bug that was near the front doof of the lobby. I think he was embarrassed by my behavior and reacted accordingly, but I could tell that he was also curious.
So I told him what I had just seen. i told him that it was an omen, a messenger from Nature. I also told him that I felt uneasy about the place and its location, and I didn't really care to venture out to go sightseeing. I felt something bad was about to happen. I told John that the bug scenario was a warning that someone we knew might get robbed or hurt. Well, as things turned out, the editor of our company was just getting out of a taxi at the front door of the hotel when all of a sudden a man ran up, pushed her back into the taxi, snatched her purse, and fled down the street, all within a few minutes. She lost everything but luckily didn't get hurt.

To see a beetle in your dream indicates that some destructive influences may be at work in your waking life. You may also feel that your values and beliefs are being compromised. If you dream of a scarab beetle--a creature worshipped by the ancient Egyptians as a symbol of creation--this symbolizes your ability to survive, adapt and change. You may, however, be anxious about death and aging, and so it might also be a dream about immortality. Quite by contrast, to see a ladybird in your dream is symbolic of good fortune and happiness.
