Thanks!
Shadows wolf... yeah, I did doubt. And in retrospect, I learned a lot from that about letting go. I didn't really doubt me or the skills, just whether it would be what they were looking for or would accept in their space. Art is a very subjective thing. So it's interesting that you brought it up! I was fairly certain I would get in based on the silver work but I wasn't sure if the artwork would and it did. I couldn't be happier! |

*Still doing a happy dance for you SEDD* The independence this offers you is right up your creative alley. You can create to your heart's content with a
proper place to display your creations. Love that! What a great journey you're taking.

This link has my silver jewelry and this one will have the artwork and future silver jewelry. In fact, I have to put all but Luna in the
second link too. Guess my Etsy site is gone for some reason so the dreamcatchers aren't currently up... interesting. That's ok, I'll be reworking
sites today anyway so the two I have listed are the most current.
Edited to add that the Dream Catchers are back up on Etsy. Guess they go inactive after 4 months. I've been dragging my feet on web design while getting established in other things so... it fell through the cracks!

wow i only got to view the one posted but that took my breathe away for the way you have them flowers at least i seen tulips int here from my eyes, and how u
did some non color and color i can do that i says to myself.. but what lol. I had no idea one can charge paintings like that for that much thats stunning work
all around thats how i kinda paint.. i jstu started making dream catchers this y ear from what ever wood i can get my hands on from the ground if its pliable i
use it. i have never bought my rounds to make dreamcatchers but hte very very first ring a metal ring ... i didnt like it cause i had to glue this down tie th
at here dlue that down it wasnt natural for me.
so i began looking on the ground .. So i gather sometimes you as well as myself can let the spirits take over painting? if you see in my view my images on my personal page i have some in there that looks like a ghost is really an angel i started out by doinga water fall but she came out that way lol .. i went into a almost trance state. but hey congrats over all nice woork please dont stop painting drawing teaching your a natural! ITS ALWAYS SUN SHINNING IN MY MINDS EYE.. |

So i gather sometimes you as well as myself can let the spirits take over painting?hmm..... not exactally. I've channeled before for other things but, what happens when I create these isn't really channeling in the classic sense. I am usually meditating on a specific energy. The one on the link is called Abundance. So, in bringing the image out, I was meditating on opening to abundance. Through meditation with the image, someone can unlock their own abundance. That's how they're designed anyway. I had no idea one can charge paintings like that for that much thats stunning workSince these are framed gallery pieces/original artworks, I have to charge gallery prices. Anyone here that's known me throughout this journey I've been on knows that pricing and charging for the works that come through me has always been a challenge for me. My friend Carol actually has to coach me on this aspect. She won't let anything of mine go until she approves the pricing. But, I have a way for people to have the images at a more reasonable price. I
just have to get a good scan of them first and then I can have prints available.. which of course would be on another website! CafePress.com. But, I have to
get a good scan of them first and right now, I haven't had a chance.
Each time I bring one of these images out, I learn about the particular energy. When I drew Freedom (not pictured yet) I learned that you don't do a work like that unless you want to experience it too. I was drawing it at the prision (Workhouse Arts Center used to be a prision) and ended up telling my friend things I normally wouldn't because I was drawing Freedom LOL! At least then I knew it was working. I wasn't taking notes on what I was learning from them till I drew Acceptance (also not yet pictured). Now I"m taking notes as I go. If it looks like useful material for a book, I may do one on the drawings later on down the line. By far, the biggest surprise was Flexibility. I'd assumed an aspect to being able to be flexible would be openness but as I drew it, all the shapes were closed. I didn't understand it until I was talking with StarSinger on IM one night. She always gets me to pin down things.... and when I was telling her she asked me to elaborate. Finally, after feeling it out, I realized that flexibility is more about being inclusive, not open. All the shapes would change as others were added. Sometimes they'd reach out to each other... sometimes they'd just morph a bit but, as more shapes came into the artwork, it would change all of them. If you can picture it like bunches of people holding hands and then all of the sudden, another person is added... they'd all have to switch hands to include another. When coloring it, the same thing happened. So, longwinded explaination of how it happens for me. It's a process and meditation. So far, people have really been interested in all aspects of it. |

Seeing this piece of artwork reminds me of the one you did for Jerry and I back in '02, SEDD. While your style is reminiscent of the one I have (which I
love) it seems a bit more intensified. Maybe it's just the medium you're working with? Somewhere I have the write-up that you did for me and will have
to dig it out. It would be interesting to compare what you got back then to where things have led today.
The piece is in my office still and always makes me smile. Once again thank you!
Has there ever been a time you crafted anything and didn't channel or bring through a study of the energies you were working with? It seems that you've always been moved to work in that manner seeing the sacred present and learning so much from it. I like that about your work and it's all beautiful, no matter what you're creating. I'm blessed to have a few pieces from you and love them all.
Wishing you the best of success with all your ventures!

Awesome SEDD!
Congrats on them accepting your work. It is incredible, so like Shadow Wolf, I'd be saying "could it have ever been in doubt", but having read through some of your other threads, and having friends who are artists...I know that there always is. Munay

Maybe it's just the medium you're working with?Hey Cinn!! I probably did yours on canvas board and the new ones are on watercolor paper so, the texture is different causing the pigment to lay differently. Also, I'm using professional pencils with more intense pigment now and the artwork is teaching me how to layer more effectivally. I have to say, I love the exploratory aspect of doing this now. Somewhere I have the write-up that you did for me and will have to dig it out. It would be interesting to compare what you got back then to where things have led today. That would offer some very interesting perspective! If you have the time, I'd love to compare my own notes LOL. Has there ever been a time you crafted anything and didn't channel or bring through a study of the energies you were working with?True. Ya got me there
Wynsong but having read through some of your other threads, and having friends who are artists...I know that there always is.Doubt is an interesting pondering. I did doubt that Lorton would be interested in this artform. When I worked at Michaels, I was in charge of hiring artists and I had to consider a lot of things.. first and foremost being a business, could I sell this artist? So, I would assume that would be one of the first things they would think about and so my doubt was in that anyone else would find the style as interesting as I do. And I find that I'm facing all those left over feelings of expectation regarding rejection and dismissal head on each time I explain the art. It was very difficult at first but it's getting easier. I'm finding a surprising thing though. People are not only interested... they want to know more. I had a lady come in last week and she was particularly taken with 'Acceptance'. Said she could get lost in it and stare at it all day. I said.. well, that's the idea! When I tell them about how it teaches me, they want to know more. It's like people see art as expression but not really as a teacher until you tell them. I"m going to develop a two or three class course on the process to teach in the fall based on this artform. Kind of a 'how to connect with your creativity/meditational art.' Not something I planned on doing but I feel it there so I'm gonna do it. I doubt whether I'll ever not feel that slight nagging 'doubt' LOL. I'm not sure I want to lose it. It may sound odd, but, I don't ever want to be so confident that I enter the realm of expectation. Doubt keeps me surprised but no longer holds me back. I think I have a lot more to explore on doubt... maybe a new pic My friend hates the pic I did on
'Vulnerability'. It's a very visceral looking one designed to help you navigate your own vulnerabilities and since she's not comfortable with
hers, she's uncomfortable with the artwork.
I have to say again, as I've said on many occassions... the friendships I've developed here and on Minna's, both old and new - difficult and simple have been invaluable in my personal growth and the support of ALL of you keeps my feet moving. For what's been and what is yet to be explored - thank you. This one is Vulnerability

I'll let you know if I can find them, SEDD, they aren't copied on this computer so I'll have to look through my thumb drives. If you still have a
copy of them email it to me please. It would be a much faster turn around. I'm on tight time these days. I really like Vulnerability...and your new medium,
the colors are more vivid. Yes, you did do mine on canvas board.
