The topic of sacred space came up in a discussion with one of my Medicine Sisters today. I was explaining to her how I learned to work with it on a dimensional level as she was struggling to deal with a delicate matter. At the same time I could feel myself sitting here with all of you and addressing the same things--an all too familiar nudge to do that so here I am again.
We know that thought, in the spiritual sense, holds projective energy and from our thoughts that same energy can be given focus to its essence with our will and intent. In that it begins to take form in the same way thoughts lead to actions in the physical sense...and actions lead to their results. The feeling that came over me at the time was one that impressed me with the need here to explore the usage of dimensional sacred spaces. I began to wonder if any of you have a dimensional place of your own or if some are in the process of creating one since there is likely the need for this discussion on one or both of those levels. Articles usually tend to arise when there is a call for an exchange on the topic so please, all are welcome to add to this thread. If you can, please feel free to share how you utilize your sacred spaces. I think our members present and future could benefit greatly from that.
I wonder if, for those of you who are seasoned with this type of work, if you have experienced your sacred space remaining the same or if it has changed over time? Mine has grown and I'll share here what I shared with my friend about that to get things started. I can only scratch the surface in a broad overview but if this topic speaks to anyone please join in and share either your knowledge or your questions. That way it can become a strong learning tool and we can add the discussion to our Main Library as another co-creative community article.
Dimensional sacred space is first entered into from a point of being centered and ready to begin a visual journey. In the mind's eye we think and begin to visualize what that space is to look like...we give it form this way and we fashion it by feeding it our thought energy...energy that follows where our thoughts take it. Projecting that vision we can 'place' this space anywhere we want in the dimensional universes, move it if we want to, it goes where we want it to go and can be summoned to the inner dimension within us as well.
In usage, if we are seeking answers or guidance it is an excellent place to begin our questing. If we are doing energy weaving it is a good place to do so in what ever manner called for with no disturbances. My sacred space has grown over the years and one of the ways I use it is as a dimensional portal. Another aspect it holds is my scrying/gazing pool where I may seek visions when I have that need. I have a fashioned crystal that is very large and I stand within it to become engulfed in the Light of Spirit to enter the Oneness. On a stone dais there is a shaft of White Light and certain Guides and Teachers come to me there or I step into it to go to them. I have a workroom with a wall of tools and jars of things, another wall of tomes, and it is fully furnished with a desk and worktable, a firepit, plenty of light, it's beautiful and it lacks nothing I might need--now. If in the future that need should arise I have no doubt it will appear and be filled there.
Throughout the years this space has grown with me and during those times I came to realize that much of it was Re-membered, something I've come to call Old Memory--the Re-membering from past lives. Now and then things appeared that I was familiar with yet couldn't quite give name to, or I wasn't sure of their use. These things I had to wait for a need to come and call for them so I could re-learn them or re-use them and the learning came instantly with the touch as a Knowing. I learned that in this place I could draw from the wisdom of the ages and my past lives to bring it forward and into use. Though I've never had much interest in tracing past lives, this is the sum of many walks to continue my path and I have that Knowing about it.
I mentioned the workroom for a reason. It is there I do ceremonial work in service to others or enrich my own growth in some manner. I have all my tools there. Some of those have come to me in the physical sense and others remain as Spirit Gifts--all are fully functional in either case. I've found dimensional sacred space to be a good place to learn to work with and know our Spirit Gifts when they are given to us. I wonder how many of you work in this way and how many understand that you can develop your sacred space, designing it as it comes to your mind to create it? I've found the more you work on it the stronger that space grows. The more energy you put into it through usage the more powerful it becomes.
This sacred space is one in which only you can go; no one can enter there unless you invite them and show them the way. In its very fashioning and placement it becomes shielded and secure. It is not difficult work but you do need to stay with it until you feel that it has strong form and you will Know when that work is done. If you don't feed it with your loving attention it will just exist, sort of like a computer on stand-by, and over time it will weaken as the energy drains from it. With neglect it begins to fade unless you create an energy source to feed it and that's going to be a connection to you through usage. It's a wonderful place to work from and if you have Healing to do for people, animals, the planet, situations, you name it, if you want to take that deeper into the spiritual essence this is a wonderful way to do so. My Guides will come there often to assist me too.
There are so many layers to these spaces. I even have rooms to the side for different purposes, tunnels that lead to different places. Some of these things, as I've mentioned, have appeared already formed from Old Memory--things I did not 'intend' and they were not Spirit Gifts. They just 'were' and I was not afraid when they appeared suddenly, in fact, I was comfortable and loved their familiarity but I couldn't always name their purpose at first, sometimes it took many years before I had any activity with them. They sat waiting for me for a time when they would be needed and I had that Knowing about them. I had to wait for them to 'light up' (literally) and then be summoned there for a purpose calling for me to reach for them or to explore a chamber. I wasn't anything but mildly curious about them until those moments came and I never felt drawn to explore them either. I certainly could have but the Knowing gave me the patience I needed. It's been very intriguing work at times, and it was from one of those tunnels I was led to sit in council with Guides from an elemental realm becoming so enriched with their wisdom and teaching me so many things.
I've worked with my sacred space as such oh gosh, for some 35 years or more now. It's where I go to do the deeper spiritual work and energy weaving and remember you don't have to have a physical space to manifest things into the physical reality. We can manifest from either side of the Veil and some of the most powerful work done calls for slipping that Veil and working from the Otherside. Shamanic practitioners and Medicine People have done this throughout the ages, some will journey with the spirit of the person they are serving to Heal, to do Retrievals (Soul or items or knowledge needed), to explore other's visions or journeys or enter a DreamWeave, to simply help others in countless ways.
So this said, and I guess I got windy as usual, I am quite curious how other members of our community will be contributing their knowledge, perhaps share either some of their fashionings, experiences, or questions to draw forth more insights. Now I am going to lay down the Talking Feather and anyone who cares to may pick it up.

Let's just simply say dimensional sacred
space/personal or private locations where we work with guidance in whatever form it takes is appropriate for this discussion. We're looking for members to
share their experiences in the creative process of the space or how they came to it, the evolutionary process of its growth and development, and the use of
that space in its diversity or focus.
Not at all.
But my work here in this dimension is the same as that in others, just expressed differently, appropriate for this dimension.
